What is a Digipak?

A Digipak is a special CD/DVD of an album which usually comes with a physical copy of the disc, a case and a booklet. There can also be some other extras in the Digipak for example artwork, postcards, bonus discs etc.

Here are some example's of Digipaks:

This is an example of a simple and minimalistic digipak. As you can see the main colour scheme is black and each bandmate is given a specific colour. The CD in the centre is a combination of all the colours with black stripes going through it. This is a 10 panel digipak, 5 panels each side, this means it is more detailed than most digipaks. Conventional digipaks are either 6 panels or 4 panels.

This digipak on the other hand is very detailed, in the sense that the design is very intricate and it sticks to one concept. It features two CDs which is another feature of a digipak. The colour is a grayish green colour which could connote an erie tone. I prefer this digipak because it is very detailed and the concept is kept through all of the panels.
